1# Walnuts1 1/2 Cups Sugar
1/2 Cup Buttermilk
2 tsp Vanilla
1/4 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Cayenne (optional)
1 Tbs Cinnamon
Preparation
- Start by toasting the walnuts in a 350 degree oven for 12 minutes
- Bring the remaining ingredients to a boil until it reaches 240 degrees on a candy thermometer (stir continually)
- Stir in the toasted walnuts until well-coated
- Spread into an even layer onto a greased cookie sheet and allow to cool
