Start by toasting the walnuts in a 350 degree oven for 12 minutes

Bring the remaining ingredients to a boil until it reaches 240 degrees on a candy thermometer (stir continually)

Stir in the toasted walnuts until well-coated

Spread into an even layer onto a greased cookie sheet and allow to cool
NOTES: Experiment a little. Add some orange zest just before stirring in the walnuts. Maybe grate some fresh nutmeg over the warm, coated nuts before they cool completely. Have fun. These make great gifts for the Holidays
