Shrimp and Chorizo Recipe

A quick appetizer that is sure to impress. Try mixing it up, adding your own flavor combinations for a different feel.
Ingredients
By Measure
10 large shrimp, uncooked4 ounces chorzo
1 cup onions, diced
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1 cup tomatoes, diced
bunch of cilantro, chopped
1/4 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons cream
1 teaspoon cumin
salt and pepper, to taste
Preparation
- Heat a saute pan and 2 Tbs oil over high heat until the oil starts to smoke
- Add the chorizo and cook about half way
- Add the onions and cook until they are translucent
- Add the shrimp and cook until almost done
- Add the garlic, tomatoes and cilantro
- Season to taste with salt and pepper
- Make the sauce by combining the sour cream, cream, cumin and salt and pepper
- You can serve like as is or on some fresh, fried corn tortillas or as a taco
