This ice cream seems a little odd at first. Paired with a fruity dessert it works beautifully.

Ingredients
By Measure
2 Cups Heavy Cream
2 Cups Buttermilk
2 Cups Sugar
12 Egg Yolks
5 Sage Leaves
2 Tbs Parsley
2 tsp Vanilla

 
 


Preparation

  1. Puree the buttermilk with the sage and parsley.
  2. Heat the heavy cream, sugar and vanilla bean to a simmer.
  3. Temper the hot cream mixture into the egg yolks and bring to 160 degrees.
  4. Chill and turn in ice cream machine according to manufacturers directions.
