Ingredients
1 Clove of Garlic
¼ Cup Tahini (Sesame Paste)
½ tsp Cumin
Juice from One Lemon
1 15-Ounce Can of Chickpeas (Garbanzos)
2 Tbs Olive Oil
Water for Adjusting Consistency
Salt and Pepper To Taste
Preparation
- In a food processor puree the garlic, tahini, cumin and lemon juice
- Add the chickpeas and olive oil and puree until smooth
- Adjust consistency with water
- Season with salt and pepper
NOTE: You can peel the chickpeas by gently pinching them. They will pop right out. This will yield a smoother hummus.
