Hummus Recipe


Ingredients
1 Clove of Garlic
¼ Cup Tahini (Sesame Paste)
½ tsp Cumin
Juice from One Lemon
1 15-Ounce Can of Chickpeas (Garbanzos)
2 Tbs Olive Oil
Water for Adjusting Consistency
Salt and Pepper To Taste
 
Preparation

  1. In a food processor puree the garlic, tahini, cumin and lemon juice
  2. Add the chickpeas and olive oil and puree until smooth
  3. Adjust consistency with water
  4. Season with salt and pepper
 
NOTE: You can peel the chickpeas by gently pinching them.  They will pop right out.  This will yield a smoother hummus.
