French Toast Recipe
A quick tip on mixing the eggs. I like to beat my eggs with the sugar to really break the eggs up. Don't walk away from this though since the sugar will "cook" the eggs in a few minutes. Add the cream and it will be more stable.

A classic French Toast with a Southern twist
Ingredients
By Measure
4 Slices Texas Toast1 Cup Heavy Cream
2 Eggs
3/4 Cup Sugar
1/4 Cup Bourbon
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1 Orange Orange Zest
1/4 Cup Clarified Butter
Preparation
- Whisk the eggs and sugar together then whisk in the cream
- Add the bourbon, nutmeg and orange zest and mix well
- Soak the bread for about 1 minute until well saturated
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add clarified butter
- Brown on both sides
- If needed you can finish cooking in a 350 degrees oven until done
