Everyone knows BBQ. We all have a favorite from childhood and beyond. This is one of my favorites from my childhood.

Bulgogi is Korean BBQ. The photo shows the bulgogi sitting on an Asian noodle salad but you can serve it on rice or noodles or on its own.



Ingredients
By Measure
1 1/2 pounds striploin beef, sliced thin
2 tablespoons sugar
5 tablespoons soy
2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
4 tablespoons scallion, chopped
2 tablespoons sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon chili and garlic paste
 


Preparation

Mix meat and sugar and let it stand for 30 minutes. Combine all the ingredients and marinate 30 minutes for best results. Over a hot griddle or a grill, cook until the sugar has carmelized on the meat. Serve cold or hot.
