Apple Pie Recipe
The star of this pie isn't sugar, it's apples. What goes good with both? A little Bourbon.

This is how pies used to taste.
Ingredients
Peel, core and slice tart apples enough for a pie.
By Measure
3 Tablespoons refined sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon sifted flour
1 tablespoon milk
1 tablespoon Kentucky Bourbon
2 ounces unsalted butter cut into small pieces
pinch of salt

2 ounces unsalted butter cut into small pieces
pinch of salt
Preparation
- Combine the above ingredients in a bowl. Mix well to distribute the seasonings; put into a pie-tin lined with pie dough; cover with pie dough. (Optional: lightly brush the top of the pie with milk then sprinkle with a dusting of sugar) Cut 3 small vents in the dough and bake at 350 degrees in a preheated oven until golden and brown, 40-50 minutes.
