Sugar Cookies
Ingredients
1 ¼ Cups Sugar
2 Sticks (1 Cup) Unsalted Butter
3 Egg Yolks
1 tsp Vanilla
Zest From One Lemon, Orange or Lime
2 ½ Cups AP Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
½ tsp Cream of Tartar
Sugar for rolling
Preparation

In the bowl of an electric mixer with the paddle attachment cream the sugar and butter together until fairly smooth. About 1-2 minutes

Add the egg yolks, vanilla and zest and mix until combined

Sift together the flour, baking soda and cream of tartar

Add to bowl and mix until combined

Scoop into desired sizes then roll in sugar and place on sheet pan

Bake at 400 degrees for 11 minutes until edges are just turning golden
