Spicy Sage Croutons Recipe


Ingredients
By Measure
3/4 Cup Oil
6 Sage Leaves
1/2 tsp Chopped Garlic
2 Tbs Chopped Onions
1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
4 Cups Bread Diced Into 1/4 inch Cubes
Salt & Pepper To Taste
 
Preparation

  1. In a blender combine oil, sage leaves, garlic, onions and cayenne and blend well
  2. Season with salt and pepper
  3. In a large saute pan heat the oil mixture over medium-high heat until hot then add the diced bread
  4. Cook until bread is toasted and crispy, stirring often
  5. The bread will probably soak up most if not all of the oil mixture, that's ok, just continue to let it cook and it will crisp nicely
