Pretzels Recipe
Ingredients
By Measure
For The Pretzels:
3 1/2 Cups Bread Flour
1 tsp Instant Yeast
1 1/2 tsp Sugar
1 1/2 tsp Salt
Water As Needed
For The Boiling:
1 Gallon Water
1/4 Cup Salt
1 Tbs Baking Soda
For The Egg Wash:
2 Eggs
1/4 Cup Water
Preparation

In the bowl of an electric mixer stir together the flour, yeast, sugar and salt

Add water and knead until dough is soft and does not stick to the sides or bottom of the bowl

Oil the bowl, cover and let rise until double in size

Bring water, salt and baking soda to a boil

Cut small pieces of dough and roll into 6-inch to 8-inch lengths

Twist into a pretzel shape and boil for one minute

Lay out on a greased sheet pan and brush with the egg wash

Bake at 400 degrees until nicely browned
