Apple Stuffed Pork Chops


Ingredients
For The Stuffing:
1 Cup Herb Stuffing Mix
1/3 Cup Finely Chopped Apple
½ Cup Finely Chopped Onion
2 Tbs Finely Chopped Raisins
1 Tbs Orange Zest
½ Cup Orange Juice
1 Tbs Melted Butter
¼ tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Minced Garlic
½ tsp Salt
½ tsp Fresh Ground Pepper
Chicken Stock As Needed
 
For The Pork Chops:
4 1” Thick Pork Chops
Salt and Pepper To Taste
 
Preparation

  1. Mix together all the ingredients for the stuffing
  2. Add enough chicken stock to wet everything down
  3. Allow it to sit for 15 minutes and add some more chicken stock if needed
  4. Cut a slit in the pork chops and stuff
  5. Season with salt and pepper
  6. Sear in a hot sauté pan until caramelized
  7. Cook through in a 400 degree oven until temperature reaches 145 degrees
 
TIP: If stuffing seems too wet simply squeeze a handful like a sponge to release some liquid
