Method for marshmallow
- Pour the gelatin and 1/2 cup of water into the tabletop mixing bowl. Set aside.
- In a sauce pot combine the granulated sugar, corn syrup, salt and 1/2 cup of water. Place on a cooktop and set to medium-high heat. Using a candy thermometer cook the mixture until it reaches 250 degrees F. Remove from heat.
- Place the bowl with the gelatin and water on the mixer. Using the whisk attachment at low speed slowly pour the hot sugar solution into the gelatin and water mixture. This should take 3-4 minutes. After the 4 minutes turn the mixer to high and whip for 12-14 minutes. During the last minute of whipping add the vanilla. Mix until the mixture has cooled to warm.
- Combine the powdered sugar and cornstarch. Spray a 9 X 13 inch pan with nonstick spray. Generously dust the bottom and sides of the 9 X 13 inch pan with the powdered sugar and cornstarch mixture. Save all remaining cornstarch and powdered sugar for later. Pour the marshmallow into the prepared pan
- Cut Marshmallows into your desired shapes and dust in the corn starch mixture. Keep in a tin or use right away.
