Ingredients
By Measure
1/3 pound of beef per hamburger
Salt and fresh ground pepper
Melted butter with minced garlic
1/3 pound of beef per hamburger
Salt and fresh ground pepper
Melted butter with minced garlic
Preparation
- When you get the meat home start by preparing your patties. Open the package of ground beef and gently break away roughly 1/3 of a pound amounts. Don.t overwork the meat. I like to as gently as I can form the hamburgers into patties. NO MIXING. We are not making meatloaf. Season both sides with a good amount of salt and pepper. No Mixing is the part I have been missing.
- Place them on a pre-heated grill at medium-high. Be patient let the meat cook and pull away naturally from the grill surface for each side.
- This will take several minutes. Reduce the heat to medium then turn the meat an additional 2 times.
- Turning the meat just three times overall helps the juices stay in the center of hamburger. Cook the hamburgers to your desired temperature.
- One minute prior to removing the hamburgers from the grill baste with a small amount of melted butter and garlic. Serve with your choice of toppings.
