Four Fruits Cranberry Jam Recipe
Every cook gets on a kick every now and then. Right now I'm on jam. This one strikes a great balance between the tartness of the cranberries and the sweetness of the sugar.

Ingredients
By Measure
1 Gallon Cranberries - Fresh or Frozen1 Green Apple - Core Removed
1 Orange
2 Cups Blackberries - Fresh or Frozen
4 Cups Sugar
1 Cinnamon Stick
1 Star Anise - Optional
1 1" Piece of Ginger - Optional
Preparation
- In a food processor chop the apple, the entire orange and the blackberries with 1 cup of the sugar until finely chopped.
- In a stainless steel pot add all the ingredients and bring to a boil over medium-high heat making sure to stir often.
- Boil for 10 minutes, then remove the cinnamon stick and the star anise and ginger if using.
- Pour in sterilized jars and seal according to the jar manufacturer's instructions.
NOTE: Taste before pouring into jars so you can adjust the sweetness to your taste.
NOTE: For a slightly spicier jam add a 2" piece of cinnamon to each jar before pouring the jam in.
