The best brownie recipe I have ever tried...and tweaked.
Ingredients
By Measure
8 Ounces Dark Chocolate
3 Sticks Butter
3 Cups Sugar
1 Tbs Vanilla
4 Eggs
3 1/2 Cups Bread Flour
1/4 cup Cocoa
1 tsp Baking Powder
2 tsp Salt

By Weight
8 Ounces Dark Chocolate12 Ounces Butter
1# 6 Ounces Sugar
1 Tbs Vanilla
4 Eggs
1# Bread Flour
1 Ounce Cocoa
.2 Ounces Baking Powder
.4 Ounces Salt
Preparation
- Melt the butter then add the sugar and chocolate and stir until smooth
- Using a spatula or wooden spoon stir in the eggs until incorporated
- Stir in the vanilla
- Stir together the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt
- Add it all at once to the chocolate mixture and stir just until incorporated and everything is wet
- Pour into a greased 9" x 12" pan
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 35 minutes or until center is just set
- Cool, cut and serve
NOTE: The picture shows coconut in the brownies. Use this base as is or add things you like. Coconut, raisins, nuts, etc. Make it your own.
NOTE: Try not to incorporate much air into the batter so it will be dense and gooey. A spatula or wooden spoon works best. Avoid mixers as they have a tendancy to add a lot of air.
