Blackberry Ice Cream Recipe

2 Cups Whole Milk
6 Cups Heavy Cream
2 Cup Sugar
1 Vanilla Bean - Split
2 Cup Egg Yolks
1 Quart Blackberries
6 Cups Heavy Cream
2 Cup Sugar

1 Quart Blackberries
Preparation
- Bring the milk, cream, sugar and vanilla bean to a simmer
- Slowly temper in some of the hot mixture into the egg yolks while stirring
- Bring to 175 degrees over medium heat while stirring until slightly thickened
- Cool in an ice bath then turn in your ice cream maker following the manufacturer's directions
- Quickly pulse the blackberries in a food processor so they are not pureed but retain some texture
- When the ice cream is about 1/2 frozen pour in the blackberries and continue turning until frozen
