Ingredients
2 Cups of Basil Leaves, Packed
3 Cloves of Garlic
1/3 Cup Toasted Pine Nuts
½ Cup Parmesan Cheese, Fresh Grated
Olive Oil To Consistency
Salt and Pepper To Taste
Preparation
- In a food processor puree the basil, garlic, pine nuts and parmesan
- Drizzle in the olive oil to reach the desired consistency
- Season with salt and pepper to taste
- TIP: Too much oil can make it seem greasy. I like to add a little water to thin out the consistency and use less oil but that is personal preference
- TIP: Don’t be afraid to try different herbs or a combination of herbs or even a different hard cheese. You can also add other nuts or some onions or sun-dried tomatoes to bring different flavors.
