Ingredients
2 Cups of Basil Leaves, Packed
3 Cloves of Garlic
1/3 Cup Toasted Pine Nuts
½ Cup Parmesan Cheese, Fresh Grated
Olive Oil To Consistency
Salt and Pepper To Taste
 


Preparation

  1. In a food processor puree the basil, garlic, pine nuts and parmesan
  2. Drizzle in the olive oil to reach the desired consistency
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste
  4. TIP: Too much oil can make it seem greasy.  I like to add a little water to thin out the consistency and use less oil but that is personal preference
  5. TIP: Don’t be afraid to try different herbs or a combination of herbs or even a different hard cheese. You can also add other nuts or some onions or sun-dried tomatoes to bring different flavors.
