Baked Oatmeal Recipe
Every year at camp the ladies in the kitchen would make baked oatmeal for breakfast one morning. They would finish it with some warm maple sweetened milk. I remember it fondly and have done my best to duplicate it but with my own touch.

Ingredients
By Measure
For The Oatmeal:1 Cup Oats
1 3/4 Cup Whole Milk
1 Tbs Vanilla
2 Tbs Brown Sugar
1/4 Cup Raisins or Chocolate Covered Raisins
For The Topping:
1/4 Cup Oats
1 Stick Butter - Softened
1/4 Cup Sugar
1/4 Cup Flour
Preparation
For The Oatmeal:
- In a small casserole dish mix together all of the oatmeal ingredients.
- Bake in a 400 degree oven until oatmeal is cooked through - about 20-30 minutes, but you be the judge
- Mix together the topping ingredients until it is very crumbly.
- If it is not crumbly then add a little more oats and flour
- If it is too crumbly then add a little more sugar and butter
- Crumble the finished topping over the cooked oatmeal, then place under the broiler until golden brown.

NOTE: You can substitute Bourbon or maple syrup for the vanilla for a different flavor.
