Apple Cobbler Recipe

You know, I love apple pie but what I love more than apple pie is an apple cobbler. Here's my favorite cobbler recipe.

Ingredients
By Measure
 
For The Filling:
4 Granny Smith Apples Peeled, Cored and Cut into wedges
1/4 Cup Flour
1 Cup Sugar
2 Tbs Melted Butter
2 tsp Vanilla

For The Crumb Topping:
1 Cup Softened Butter
1 Cup Sugar
1 1/2 Cups Flour
2 tsp Cinnamon

 
 


Preparation

    For The Cobbler:
  1. Toss the apples with the other ingredients
  2. Add the apples to a 9 inch pie pan or casserole dish that has been greased with pan spray or butter
  3. Top with the crumb topping (see recipe below)
  4. Bake at 375 degrees until crumb topping is golden brown and filling is bubbly (1 Hour To 75 minutes)

  5. NOTE: For a more traditional Holiday flavor add 1 tsp each cinnamon and nutmeg to the apples when tossing.
    For The Crumb Topping:
  1. Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl and mix until crumbly
  2. If topping is too soft add a little more flour
  3. If topping is too dry add a little more softened butter
