Fried Rice Recipe


Ingredients

4 cups day old cooked basmati rice that has been refrigerated
1/2 cup thin sliced yellow onion
1/2 cup diced ham
1 tablespoon garlic
2 teaspoon dark soy
1 tablespoon soy
1 teaspoon ginger
1/4 cup frozen peas
2 teaspoon sesame oil
2 tablespoon corn oil
2 eggs scrambled, (fully cooked in a separate skillet)
1 tablespoon fresh cilantro
a big pinch ground black pepper
salt to taste

 
 
Preparation

  1. In a hot wok or skillet add the corn oil. When the oil is hot add the ham.
  2. Cook the ham for 30 seconds. Add the onion and continue to cook at high heat for 2 minutes.
  3. Next, add the ginger, garlic and peas. Cook for 30 seconds then stir in the rice. Cook until rice is well coated and hot.
  4. Add all the remaining ingredients and stir-fry until all the seasoning is well distributed. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
