Chocolate Gravy Recipe


Ingredients

Butter 1 1/2 oz
Flour: AP 4 Tbs
Milk 1 Qt
Dark Chocolate 1/2 Cup
Sugar 1 1/2 Cups
Vanilla 1 Tbs
Salt 1 tsp
 
Preparation

  1. Melt butter and add flour to make a roux
  2. Add the milk a little at a time so it doesn't get lumpy
  3. Cook over medium heat while whisking until desired consistency is reached
  4. Simmer for 5 minutes to cook out the starch
  5. Add sugar, salt, and chocolate and stir until combined
  6. If sauce is too thick, thin with milk
