Candied Pecans Recipe


Ingredients
By Measure
1 Tablespoon corn syrup
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 pound whole pecans
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon clove
Pinch cayenne pepper
1/2 cup cane sugar

 
 
Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the corn syrup, baking soda together. Mix very well. Stir in the cinnamon, cloves and cayenne pepper. Add nuts, and stir to coat well. Using another dry bowl toss the nuts in the sugar. Mix until coated
  3. Spread the coated nuts evenly onto the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until well-toasted and golden brown. Remove from oven, and cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
